JUNE - I - VERSE

Here lies Ms Ghetto chic her self dolled to the nines in her latest cover for the issue of Avenue Magazine rocking a Jean Paul Gaultier black sequin head to toe look along wit the killer Daffodil Christian Louboutins .

I remember Her come up  as a teen it was only a couple of stylist that in the hip hop & r&b  realm names stuck it was June , Misa, Mama Syb and a couple others  at that time it was June Ambrose and the MOD SQUAD  her and two other dudes one(Stylist- Eric Archibald) . I always love how she meshed  Costume ,High fashion and Street  all to make a look pop along with Hype Williams colorful Visions.

 

Here In this issue  June Is finally getting the praise and attention she deserve  the Stylist that has worked with   Diddy, Mary J Blige and Jay Z  just to name a few has a Cult following

due to her colorful personality and wonderful fashion sense.

Now she can add design ( Turban and Sunglass Line) a reality show (vh1) and website and plenty of  magazine features to her list of Juneisms .

Inside ,she talks about her accomplishments her bright future and style philosphy:

"I always wanted to walk into a room and be the focus in it, that's pretty much my shtick . I was going to use myself to myself to get my foot in the door and make things happen. I wanted to take urban style and make it something cinematic and forward...a kinda high market approach. I bought in all these elements and designed all the pieces for this scene when nobody wanted to give Mariah Carey gowns."

 

There Is no Arguing that June Is a Trailblazer ... I thank all over making a lane for what I love to do and showing me how to do it  the JEANOUS way .

I had fun on this shoot Styling and Assisting our Creative Director Leticia F  on this two day promo shoot that was full out in hair makeup and photography styling - I was so comfortable I really think my girl Leticia was putting me to the test to see if  I was as good as I say I am  lol lets just say  I passed. I thank  God for being introduced to them because everyone is serious about their craft and I cant wait for u all to see what we are about . The Royalness Of The Tenenbaums

Now anyone that know's me will tell you I love to laugh and if u have not seen this 2001 film u need to check it out ...it has that dry humor I love with and all star cast that can bring the pain . But what really caught my attention was of course the FASHION... the 70's and 80's nostalgia killed me and whoever came up with the styling or costuming is jeanous..set in the Hamilton Heights section of west Harlem ,Manhattan New York ...Man The whole family was shob from the kids to Royal (the father) but the two that did it was Margot and Richie ...Her and the Lacoste tennis dresses and Mink and Birkin and Him with the quintessential Fila head band . This is one of my favorite movies since it came out in 2001 ...laughter and fashion I love it !!

But she had this same full length Mink at twelve lol  fashion heads your missing out if u have not seen this movie !!!

Only weird thing was the love story but I understand it cause Margot was adopted lol ..

I think we all were glued to the TV when this show came on Thursday nights I mean the whole notion of the black perfect family in the 80's was Jeanous but my concern from the age of 5 was two things

1.Rudy and 2.What was Denise going to have on ....Denise always was so NYC being that the show was based outta Brooklyn But she was just what was POPPINGTON at that moment! Workout wear,Big Shoulders...crazy colors u know the "rebel teen" ...To me she was fresh and what I payed attention to along with Claire's office chic, Heath cliff's Sweaters and Theo's "Gordon Gartrell. Below is a Lil Denis Montague of her FRESH and how her look is whats going now  .

I don't wanna OD on the Denise Pictures but she was always fly and her Daughter Zoe is fly in her own right picking up on her moms 80 hippie chic . I just think she should be awarded for her look cause right now that blazer neons and jean jacket is in heavy rotation all over the world funny how times change but things still remain the same ....Style

but the company was so new they didn't ship . The tee Shirt Gods made some moves and I
